An Organization Dedicated to Providing Safe Homes for Children

In 1999 Linda Rose and Andrea Saxon co-founded Families Especial. Both women brought unique experiences to the organization. Linda was a foster parent for several years and was privileged to receive a foster parent of the year award.  Andrea and her husband are adoptive parents who have experienced all the joys and challenges associated with parenting.  In addition, both women have extensive prior experiences in management and/or ownership in exciting and challenging careers.

Families Especial’s first placement took place in 2002. Since that time, FE has had the privilege of working with over 100 families and more than 1000 children who have been removed from their biological families due to abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.  FE provides these children with safe homes, guidance, and dedicated families.
